Confidentiality of
application before
publication.

26. (1) The Managing Director shall ensure that
information about a patent application is kept
confidential until the application is published.
(2) Paragraph (1) does not apply to the
following —
(a)
the application number;
(b)
the name of the applicant;
(c)
the filing date of the application;
(d)
if priority is claimed, the priority date and
the name of the state in which or for which
the earlier application was filed and the
number of the earlier application; and
(e)
the title of the invention.

International-type
search.

27. (1) This Regulation prescribes the details of the
requirements and procedure under section 43 of the Act.
(2) Within thirty days after receiving a report on
an international-type search, the Managing
Director shall send a copy of the report to the
applicant.
(3) The time limit, referred to in section 43(3) of
the Act, for the applicant to furnish a requested
copy of a document, is ninety days after the date
of the request.
(4) If an applicant has a lawful reason under
section 43(3) of the Act for not furnishing a
requested copy of a document, the applicant shall
inform the Managing Director of that reason
within ninety days after the date of the request.
(5) If the Managing Director rejects an application
under subsection (2), (3), (4) or (5) of section 43
of the Act, the Managing Director shall, within
thirty days after doing so, send the applicant a
