To provide for more effective protection of copyright and related rights

ENACTED by the Parliament of Mauritius, as follows —
PART I - PRELIMINARY

1. �
Short title
This Act may be cited as the Copyright Act 2014.
2. �
Interpretation
In this Act “acknowledgement”, in relation to a work, means the identification of the work —
(a) by its title or other description; and
(b) unless the work is anonymous or the author of the work has agreed not to be
identified, by its author;
“artistic, literary or scientific work” —
(a) means a production in the artistic, literary or scientific domain;
(b) includes —
(i)
a book, pamphlet or other writing;
