(4) If the Registrar General requires a copy
of the earlier application under section 8(2) of
the Act, it shall be furnished within three
months from the date of the request.
(5) Under these Regulations, where a priority
declaration has been made and accepted by
the Registrar General
(a) the date of the earlier application
is referred to as the “priority
date”; and
(b) the State or Organisation in which
the earlier application was filed is
referred to as the “priority
country”.
PART II PATENTS
9. The classification, grant and publication of
patents as well as the maintenance of
classified search files shall be made in
accordance with the Strasbourg Agreement of
1971 as revised from time to time.
10. (1) The application for a patent shall be
made in Form P1.
(2) In addition to the matters specified in
section 6 of the Act, the description of the
invention shall
(a) specify the technical field to which the
invention relates;
(b) indicate the background art and cite
the relevant documents reflecting
such art;
