(2) The protection of a work referred to in subsection (1 )
is without prejudice to any protection of a pre-existing
expression of folklore incorporated in or in
or utilized for the making of the work.

7. Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 5 and 6, no
protection shall extend under this Act to
(a) any idea, procedure, system. method of
operation, concept, principle, discovery or
mere data. even if expressed, described,
explained, illustrated or embodied in a
work; or
(b) any official text of a legislative, administrative
or legal nature or any of its official
translation.

8. ( 1 ) Expression of folklore is protected by copyright
under this Act against
(a) reproduction;
(b) communication to the public by
performance, broadcasting. distribution
bv cable or other means; and
(c) adaptation. translation
transformation,
and
other
when the expression is made either for commercial
purposes or outside a traditional or customary context.
(2) The protection conferred in subsection (1) does not
include the right to control
