(c) by giving the notice or document personally to the person’s
agent or by mailing or delivering the notice or document to the
agent’s place of business.
(2) A notice or document that is mailed shall be deemed to have
been given, sent or served on the day the notice or document would be
delivered in the ordinary course of post.
68. Opportunity to be heard.
Before exercising a power or making a decision the registrar may give a
person who would be adversely affected an opportunity to be heard.
69. Hearings, particular provisions.
The following apply with respect to a hearing before the registrar—
(a) at the hearing the registrar may allow oral evidence and shall
allow the cross examination of a person on his statutory
declaration or affidavit;
(b) the registrar may, on such terms as he or she may specify,
allow a document to be amended or a procedural irregularity
to be rectified;
(c) the registrar may, on such terms as he or she may specify,
dispense with or modify any requirement to do anything,
including a requirement to provide a document;
(d) the registrar may require a party to pay all or part of the costs
of another party and determine how the costs are to be
determined and how they are to be paid; and
(e) the registrar may require a party to give security for costs that
the party may be required to pay under paragraph (d).
70. Extensions of time.
(1) The registrar may extend the time for doing an act or taking a
proceeding, other than a time expressly provided in the Act, on such
conditions as he may specify.
