ThefMinisterforfthefauthorizedfofficerfshall,fonfreceiptfoffanfapplicationfunderfthisfregulation,faffordfthef
applicantfanfopportunityfoffmakingfrepresentationsftofhimfinfwriting,forfoffbeingfheardfbyfhimforfbyfaf
personfdeputedfbyfthefMinisterfforfthatfpurpose.
Hearing of representations

18.(1)fThefMinisterforfthefauthorizedfofficerfshallfappointfafdatefandfplacefforfthefhearingfoffrepresentationsfbyf
anyfapplicantfunderfregulationf17.
(2)	

Infappointingfthefdatefandfplacefforfhearing,fthefMinisterforfthefauthorizedfofficerfshallfhavefregardfto—
(a)	

thefconveniencefoffthefapplicantfandfanyfwitnesses;

(b)	

thefsituationfoffanyflandforfpremisesftofbefviewedfinfconnectionfwithfthefapplication;fand

(c)	

anyfotherfrelevantfcircumstances.

Thef Ministerf orf thef authorizedf officerf shallf givef thef applicantf notf lessf thanf 30f days’f noticef off thef
hearing.

(4)	

Thefapplicantfshall,fatfleastf14fdaysfbeforefthefdatefappointedfforfthefhearing,fdeliverftofthefauthorizedf
officerftwofcopiesfoffanyfdocumentfintendedftofbefreliedfonforftenderedfasfevidencefatfthefhearing.

Thefapplicantfmayfappearfinfpersonfatfthefhearingforfbefrepresentedfbyfafpersonfoffhisfownfchoice.

SubjectftofthefdirectionsfoffthefMinisterforfthefauthorizedfofficerfinfconsultationfwithfthefapplicant,fthef
hearingfshallfbefheldfinfpublic.

(10)	 Beforef makingf hisf decision,f thef Ministerf orf thef authorizedf officerf shallf takef intof considerationf anyf
writtenfrepresentationsfmadefonfthefmatterfunderfregulationf17f(3).
(11)	 ThefMinisterforfthefauthorizedfofficerfshallfgivefthefapplicantfnoticefoffhisfdecisionfinfwriting,fandfshallf
specifyfthereinfthefreasonsfforfthefdecision.
(12)	 AnfapplicantfaggrievedfbyfafdecisionfoffthefMinisterforfthefauthorizedfofficerfunderfthisfregulationfmayf
appealftofthefTribunalfwithinf14fdays.
(13)	 Subjectftofregulationf19,fafdecisionfoffthefMinisterforfthefauthorizedfofficerfshallftakefeffectfonfsuchfdatef
asfhefdirects.
