5. (1) The object and purpose for which the Commission is Object and purpose

performance of its functions under this Act.

(4) The Commission shall, in the performance of its functions
under this Act have regard to—
(a) any policy guidelines of a general nature relating to the
provisions of this Act notified to it by the Minister and
published in the Gazette;
(b) Kenya’s obligations under any international treaty or
agreement relating to the provisions of telecommunication,
radio and postal services.
