  Where	
  a	
  court	
  grants	
  an	
  order,	
  pursuant	
  to	
  the	
  provisions	
  of	
  subsection	
  (4)	
  of	
  this	
  
section,	
  such	
  order	
  shall	
  indicate	
  -­‐	
  
	
  
(a)	
  the	
  nature	
  of	
  the	
  evidence;	
  
	
  
(b)	
  their	
  origin	
  and	
  destination,	
  if	
  known;	
  and	
  
	
  
(c)	
   the	
   period	
   of	
   time	
   which	
   shall	
   not	
   exceed	
   90	
   days	
   over	
   which	
   data	
   must	
   be	
  
preserved.	
  
	
  
(6)	
   In	
   compliance	
   with	
   the	
   preservation	
   order,	
   any	
   person	
   who	
   has	
   the	
   control	
   or	
  
availability	
  of	
  such	
  data,	
  including	
  a	
  service	
  provider,	
  shall	
  immediately	
  preserve	
  the	
  
data	
  for	
  the	
  specified	
  period	
  of	
  time,	
  protecting	
  and	
  maintaining	
  its	
  integrity.	
  
(7)	
   A	
   request	
   for	
   expedited	
   preservation	
   of	
   electronic	
   evidence	
   or	
   data	
   may	
   be	
  
refused	
   if,	
   there	
   are	
   reasonable	
   grounds	
   to	
   believe	
   that	
   the	
   execution	
   of	
   a	
   request	
  
for	
  legal	
  assistance	
  for	
  subsequent	
  search,	
  seizure	
  and	
  release	
  of	
  such	
  data	
  would	
  be	
  
denied.	
  
	
  
	
  (1)	
   In	
   order	
   to	
   provide	
   immediate	
   assistance	
   for	
   the	
   purpose	
   of	
   international	
  
cooperation	
  under	
  this	
  Act,	
  the	
  Office	
  of	
  the	
  National	
  Security	
  Adviser	
  shall	
  designate	
  
and	
   maintain	
   a	
   contact	
   point	
   that	
   shall	
   be	
   available	
   twenty-­‐four	
   hours	
   a	
   day	
   and	
  
seven	
  days	
  a	
  week.	
  
	
  
(2)	
   This	
   contact	
   point	
   can	
   be	
   reached	
   by	
   other	
   contact	
   points	
   in	
   accordance	
   with	
  
agreements,	
   treaties	
   or	
   conventions	
   by	
   which	
   Nigeria	
   is	
   bound,	
   or	
   in	
   pursuance	
   of	
  
protocols	
  of	
  cooperation	
  with	
  international	
  judicial	
  or	
  law	
  enforcement	
  agencies.	
  
	
  
(3)	
  The	
  immediate	
  assistance	
  to	
  be	
  provided	
  by	
  the	
  contact	
  point	
  shall	
  include	
  -­‐	
  
	
  
(a)	
  technical	
  advice	
  to	
  other	
  points	
  of	
  contact;	
  
	
  
(b)	
  expeditious	
  preservation	
  of	
  evidence	
  in	
  cases	
  of	
  urgency	
  or	
  danger	
  in	
  delay;	
  
	
  
(c)	
  collection	
  of	
  evidence	
  for	
  which	
  it	
  has	
  the	
  legal	
  jurisdiction	
  in	
  cases	
  of	
  urgency	
  or	
  
danger	
  in	
  delay;	
  
	
  
(d)	
   detection	
   of	
   suspects	
   and	
   provision	
   of	
   legal	
   information	
   in	
   cases	
   of	
   urgency	
   or	
  
danger	
  in	
  delay;	
  	
  
	
  
(e)	
   the	
   immediate	
   transmission	
   of	
   requests	
   concerning	
   the	
   measures	
   referred	
   to	
   in	
  
paragraphs	
  (b)	
  and	
  (d)	
  of	
  subsection	
  (3)	
  of	
  this	
  section,	
  with	
  a	
  view	
  to	
  its	
  expedited
