Authority for the purpose of regulation of telecommunications,
broadcasting, postal services; to provide for allocation and
management of radio spectrum, covering electronic technologies and other Information and Communication Technologies
(ICT) applications and to provide for its operation in place of
former authorities and for related matters.

PART I
PRELIMINARY PROVISIONS
Short title
1. This Act may be cited as the Tanzania Communications Regulatory
Authority Act, 2003.
Commencement and
Application
2. - (1) This Act shall come into operation on such date as the Minister
may, by notice published in the Gazette, appoint.
(2) The Minister may appoint different dates for the commencement
of different parts or provisions of this Act.
