The Informatic Offences ( Combating) Act, 2007
Be it hereby approved, by the National Assembly, and signed, by the
President of the Republic, in accordance with the Provision of the Interim
Constitution of the Republic of the Sudan, 2005 the following Act :-
Chapter I
Preliminary Provisions
Title and commencement
1.
This Act may be cited as the, “Informatic Offences (Combating) Act,
2007”, and shall come into force, as of the date of signature .
Application
2.
The provisions of this Act shall apply to any of the offences,
provided therefor therein, where they have totally, or partially been
committed inside, or outside the Sudan, and whether the offender is
the actual one, joint or abetter.
Interpretation
3.
In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires, :“Data”,
mean every thing as may be saved,
processed,
generated,
produced
and
transferred by a computer, such as digits,
letters, signs and otherwise;
“Informatic network”,
means the linkage between more than one
informatic system, to obtain and exchange
information;
