THE COMMUNICATIONS (ACCESS, CO-LOCATIONAND
INFRASTRUCTURE SHARING) REGULATIONS, 2011
PART I
PRELIMINARY PROVISIONS
Citation.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Electronic and
Postal Communications (Access, Co-location and Infrastructure
sharing) Regulations, 2011.
Application
2. These Regulations shall apply in relation to provision
of electronic communications services and communications
networks.
Interpretation
3. In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise
requires“Act” means the Electronic and Postal Communications Act;
“access” means the technically feasible means of reaching
network facilities for purposes of interconnection,
leasing or sharing of network facilities;
“Authority” means the Tanzania Communications Regulatory
Authority
established
under
the
Tanzania
Communications Regulatory Authority Act;
“co-location” means the accommodation of two or more
licensee’s switches, antennas
or other electronic
communications equipment in, or on a single
