PROVISIONS RELATING TO LICENCING
Application for
licence
Failure to
submit
documents and
make
presentation
4.-(1) Any person who wishes to apply for a licence
shall fill in an application form in the appropriate manner and
pay any fees as set out in the First Schedule to these Regulations.
(2) The application form referred to under subregulation (1) shall be accompanied by such documents or
information as may be relevant to the type of a licence applied.
(3) Where a person makes an application for two or
more shortcodes, he shall be required to obtain an application
services licence.
5. Where an applicant fails to(a) submit documents or information as required
under regulation 4 (2); or
(b) appear on a date scheduled by the Authority for
presentation of business plan without any prior
information,
the Authority shall reject the application and inform the
applicant in writing.
Physical
address of a
licensee
6.-(1) An applicant of a licence shall be required to have
a physical address in a place within the United Republic and
shall provide particulars of such address to the Authority.
(2) A licensee shall, prior to change of office, submit to
the Authority a notice of the change of physical address.
Category and
duration of
licence
7.-(1) The Authority may issue a licence for duration as
provided in the First Schedule to these Regulations.
(2) A licensee shall be required to pay to the Authority
regulatory fees of such amount as provided for in the First
Schedule to these Regulations.
(3) A licensee shall be required to pay to the Authority
renewal fees of such amount as provided for or in relation to
initial licence fees stipulated in the First Schedule to these
Regulations.
