A.

( I) Where an offence is committed under this Act or under
any regulations made thereunder by a body of persons, then -­
(a) 	 in the case of a body corporate, any person
who, at that time of the act constituting the
offence was director or officer of that body,
shall be deemed to be guilty of that offence;
(b) in the case'of a firm, every person who at the
time of the commission of the act constituting
the offence was a partner or officer of that
body. shall be deemed to be guilty of that
offence.
(2)

No person shaH be liable for an offence by ,·irtue of this
section If he proves that the act in respect of which he is charged was
0, ,mmi tted by some other person without his knowledge or connivance
ar:d that he c'(crciscd all due diligence to prevent the commission of the
offence ha\'ing regard to all the circumstances.
Evidence.

61. In proceedings under this Act the following shall be prima
facie evidence of the facts stated therein­

(a)

a licence or certificate purporting to have been
issued under this Act;

(b) 	 a document purporting to state the results of an
analysis canied out on behalf of the Mimster or
the Board for the purposes of this Act.

regulations

62. The 1\1inister, acting on the advice of the Board, may make
regulations(a) 	 prescribing a.,llything which under this Act may
be prescribed~
(b) 	 prescribing conditions to be inserted in licences
granted under this Act and otherwise
prescribing things to be done in relation to such
licences;
