PLANT VARIETY PROTECTION No. 82

The laws mentioned in the second column of the
Schedule are hereby repealed as indicated in the third
column of the Schedule, to the extent that such laws were
in force immediately prior to the commencement of the
Constitution in the various territories of the national territory of the Republic as set out in the fourth column of
the Schedule.

Section 53
Short title and commencement
This Act shall be called the Plant Breeders’ Rights
Act, 1976, and shall come into operation on a date to be
fixed by the State President by proclamation in
the Gazette.

Extension of application of Act 15 of 1976
The principal Act shall apply throughout the Republic.
