Pharmacy and Drugs Act •. 12 PAR1 5> II - THE PHARMA CY BOARD 2. ( 1) There is hereby established a Board consisting of the Establishment ,Bowing: - (a) the Director of Drugs and Medical Supplies, who shall be the Chairman~ (b) a legal pmctitioner appointed by the Attomey­ General and Minister of Justice on the recommendation of the Sierra Leone Bar Association; (c) a pharmacist registered with the Phanna.ceuticaI Society of Sierra Leone; appointed by the Facul ty of Pharmaceutical Sciences; (d) two members of the public appointed by the Minister on the recommendation of the Director of Drugs and Medical Supplies; (e) a pharmacist appointed by the Minister on the nomination of the Pharmaceutical Society of Sierra Leone; ({) the President of the Phannaceutical Society of Sierra Leone; (g) the Secretary General of the Pharmaceutical Society of Sierra Leone~ and (h) a pharmacy technician appointed by the Phannacy Technicians Cadre: Provided that no pharmacist or pharmacy technician shall be appointed to be a member of the Board who has not attained ten years post-registration experience in Sierra Leone. (2) The term of office of apJX>inted members of the Board shall be three years, and the powers of the Board may be exercised notwithstanding a vacancy in its membership. Five members of the Board shall ronn a quorum, three of whom shall be pharmacists. (3) In the absence of the Chainnan at any meeting of the Board, the mem bers present at that meeting shall elect a chairman from among the pharmacists present. (4) of Pharmacy Board.
