During and after his/her term of office, a
Commissioner shall not be prosecuted, wanted
or arrested, detained or sentenced due to
his/her views expressed or other acts
committed in carrying out his/her duties.
Pendant et après son mandat, le Commissaire
ne peut être poursuivi, recherché ou arrêté,
détenu ou jugé en raison des opinions émises
ou autres actes posés dans l’accomplissement
de ses fonctions.

A Commissioner shall not be provisionally
detained unless he/she is caught red-handed
committing an offence punishable by a penalty
exceeding five (5) years of imprisonment.
Such immunity shall cover only offences
committed while carrying out his/her duties or
those related to such duties.
Un Commissaire ne peut faire l’objet de
détention provisoire sauf en cas de flagrant
délit pour une infraction punissable d’un
emprisonnement de plus de cinq (5) ans. Cette
immunité se limite aux infractions commises
dans l’exercice de ses fonctions ou des actes y
relatifs.

An appointed Commissioner shall not be
allowed to perform any other remunerated
work; he/she shall immediately resign from
his/her previous post. However, he/she may
perform research activities relating to his/her
duties, literature and art provided they are not
incompatible with the mission of the
Commission and upon approval by the
Council of Commissioners.

Il est interdit à toute personne nommée
Commissaire d’exercer d’autres fonctions
rémunérées. Elle démissionne d’office de son
ancien poste. Toutefois, elle peut faire des
travaux relatifs à la recherche liée à sa

Commissaires.
