material subsequently derived from information so recorded or
stored whether manually, mechanically or electronically and
anything that is part or a copy, in any form, of any of the foregoing
or is a combination of two or more of the foregoing;
“information officer” means any officer of a public authority
designated as such for purposes of this Act who in the first instance
is the chief executive of the public authority, and any delegated
officer in any other instance;
“Minister” means the Minister for the time being responsible for
matters relating to information;
National Security” means security or defence of the State means_
(a) military tactics or strategy or military exercises or
operations undertaken in preparation of hostilities or in
connection with the detection, prevention, suppression, or
curtailment of subversive or hostile activities;
(b) intelligence relating to the defence of the State; the
detection, prevention, suppression or curtailment of
subversive or hostile activities;
(c) methods of, and scientific or technical equipment for,
collecting, assessing or handling information referred to
above;
(d) the identity of a confidential source and any other source
of information related to intelligence gathering, the
quantity, characteristics, capabilities, vulnerabilities or
deployment of anything being designed, developed,
produced or considered for use as weapons or such other
equipment.

“personal information” means information about an identifiable
individual, including, but not limited to:(a) information relating to the race, gender, sex, pregnancy,
marital status. national, ethnic or social origin, colour,
sexual orientation, age, physical or mental health, wellbeing, disability, religion, conscience, belief, culture,
language and birth of the individual;
