THE ELECTRONIC AND POSTAL COMMUNICATIONS (ACCOUNTING
SEPARATION) REGULATIONS, 2011

PART I

PRELIMINARY PROVISIONS
Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Electronic and
Postal Communications (Accounting Separation) Regulations, 2011.

Application

2. These regulations shall apply to electronic and postal
communication services licensees who(a) have been declared by the Authority to hold a
dominant position in the national wholesale
(including but not limited to interconnection, and
Access) market, or in two or more retail markets;
(b) have been granted multiple electronic or postal
communication licenses;
(c) have business units in their entity which enter into
transactions or otherwise do business with each other.

Interpretation

3.
In these Regulations unless the context otherwise
requires:“Act” means the Electronic and Postal Communications Act;
“Authority” means the Tanzania Communications Regulatory
Authority established under the Tanzania Communications
