opportunity to give evidence to rebut the representation or
objection.
(3)
The Commission shall consider such
representations or objections when considering the grant of
type approval or in evaluating the working of any equipment or
apparatus for which has been type approved.

60. The Commission may, in consultation with
the Kenya Revenue Authority, restrict the importation into or
sale within Kenya of any telecommunications or radio
communication equipment or any other apparatus if it is of the
opinion that such equipment or apparatus can cause damage or
harmful interference to telecommunications or radio
communication networks or is a risk to human health or the
environment.
61. The Commission may, where it deems expedient,
exempt any telecommunications or radio communication
equipment that is temporarily imported into Kenya from type
approval requirements.
PART IX – NUMBERING

62. The Commission shall be responsible for
managing and administering the national numbering plan.
63. Prior to the assignment and publication of any
numbering plan, the Commission shall ensure that such
numbering (a)

allows sufficient numbers to be made available to
a licensee;

(b)

are allocated without undue delay;

(c)

allows for the inclusion of as few digits as
practicable;

(d) does not confer an undue advantage on any operator;
