any other customer premises equipment to be
attached
to
any
part
of
licensed
telecommunications or radio communication
network.
52. (1) All applications for type approval of any
equipment shall be submitted in the prescribed Form No. 2 set
out in the First Schedule and shall be accompanied by(a)
the prescribed fee;
(b)
technical specifications and manuals of the
equipment; and
(c)
where required, a sample of the equipment in
quantities as may be determined by the
Commission.
(2)
The Commission shall not be obliged to return
to the applicant any samples of equipments and associated
literature submitted for the purposes of type approval.
(3) Where the equipment submitted for type approval
is a single channel low capacity radio equipment, the
Commission shall evaluate the application and convey its
decision to the applicant within thirty (30) working days of
receipt of the application;
Provided however that where the equipment submitted
for type approval is a switch or switches of over one thousand
(1000) ports, the Commission shall convey its decision to the
applicant within sixty (60) days of receipt of the application for
type approval.
