periodfspecified,fthefauthorizedfofficerfmayfdeemfthefapplicationftofbefabandoned.
(10) Anfapplicantfforfafgrant,forfafgranteefmayfatfanyftimefproposeftofchangefthefnamefapprovedfunderfthisf
regulation.
(11) Uponf af proposalf underf paragraphf (9),f thef proceduref forf proposedf namesf prescribedf byf thisf regulationf
shallfapply.

22.(1)f Thef authorizedf officerf shallf maintainf af registerf off plantf varietiesf intof whichf hef shallf enterf thef detailsf
relatingfto—
(a)	 afplantfvarietyfinfrespectfoffwhichfafgrantfhasfbeenfmade;for
(b) afplantfvarietyfinfrespectfoffwhichfanfapplicationfforfafgrantfisfunderfconsideration,

specifiedfinfthisfregulation.

(2)	 Asfregardsfafplantfvarietyfinfrespectfoffwhichfafgrantfhasfbeenfmade,fthefauthorizedfofficerfshallfenterfinf
thefregister—
(a)	 thefnamefoffthefvariety;
(b)	 afdescriptionfoffitsfcharacteristics;
(c)	 thefreferencefnumberfunderfwhichfthefvarietyfisfrecordedfinfanyfreferencefcollectionfoffplantfmaterialf
maintainedfbyfthefauthorizedfofficer;
(d)	 thefnamefandfaddressfoffthefgrantee;
(e)	 thefdatefandfdurationfoffthefgrant;
(f)	 suchfotherfparticularsfasfarefinfthefopinionfoffthefauthorizedfofficerfnecessary.

authorizedfofficerfshallfenterfinfthefregister—
(a)	 thefproposedfnamefoffthefvariety;
(b)	 afdescriptionfoffthefcharacteristicsfoffthefvarietyfasfprovidedfbyfthefapplicant;
(c)	 thefdatefoffgrantfoffanyfprotectivefdirection;
