(b)
initiate, discuss and decide on matters that relate to customary
law and practice;
(c)
consider and discuss any other matter referred to it for its
consideration by the President or approved by the President for
consideration by the House; and
(d)
submit resolutions on any Bill or other matter referred to it to the
President, and the President shall cause such resolutions to be
laid before the National Assembly.
132. (1) The House of Chiefs shall consist of twenty-seven Chiefs.

(2) The members referred to in clause (1) shall consist of three chiefs
elected by the Chiefs from each of the nine Provinces of the Republic.
(3) The Chairman and the Vice-Chairman shall be elected from
amongst the members.
133. (1) A member of the House of Chiefs-
(a)
shall hold office for a period of three years and may be re-elected
for a further period of three years; or
(b)
may resign upon giving one month's notice in writing to the
Chairman.
(2) The office of member shall become vacant(a)
upon his death;
(b)
if he ceases to be a Chief;
(c)
if any other circumstances arise that would cause him to be
disqualified for election;
(d)
if he becomes a candidate to any election, or accepts an
appointment, to any office in a political party;
