Authority;
(b) initial and annual fees for licences and
frequency shall be paid to The Gambia
Revenue Authority;
(c) numbering and naming fees shall be paid to
the Authority;
(d) annual regulatory fees shall be paid to the
Authority; and
(e) type approval and renewal fees to the
Authority.
(3) Any charges or fees referred to this Act shall be
objectively justified, transparent, non-discriminatory
and proportionate in relation to their intended
purpose and shall take into account the objectives
as set out in this Act.
(4) Where a licence requires that payment of a
licence or an annual regulatory fee be based on a
percentage of a licensee’s gross annual revenues,
the base for calculating a licensee’s gross annual
revenues shall include
(a) payments from subscribers and other users;
and
(b) other customer accounts.
(5) The Authority shall set out a uniform schedule
of application fees for each particular licence under
this Act, taking into account the cost and time
required by the Authority to research, process and
grant or deny applications.
Administrative
charges and
regulatory fees
16. (1) Regulatory fees imposed by the Authority
under section 15 shall be aimed at covering
(a) the administrative costs of regulating the
information and communication sector and
shall in total cover only the administrative
costs which will be incurred in the
management, control of the sector and
